HEALTHY VILLAGE WAS REGISTERD UNDER CHARITABLE SOCIETY'S ACT ON 27-6-2001.

As our Father of our Nation MahatmaGandhi,has told that,India’s development can only happen through villages ‘Grama swaraj’,strengthening the society from grass root level by proper education and self dependence.

It is the only High school & HSS (Aided ) in MG kavu panchayath.  Management and Principal , Headmistress & all teachers and students are educationally forward and socially oriented;

Mulankunnathukavu ,as its name implies is a greenery.There are far spreading paddy fields, rubber estates especially in hill areas, Banana and other vegetable cultivation in plenty

The Shornur-Cochin Railway line was built in 1900s, by the Cochin Raja ,by selling the gold and valuable things to collect the money. 

About this temple to start with ,there is a mythological story. This land was full of bamboos at that time, known as ‘Mulamkunnu’.The people used to cut these bamboos for various purposes , mainly for making fences.

This is the main Roman Catholic Christian church in the area.It is situated 1.5 Km. south to M.G.Kavu junction. It is one of the oldest church under Thrissur Dioscess.

Mulankunnathukav panchayath is one of the small panchayaths in Thrissur District. It is a female reserved panchayath. It is devided into 13 wards.

It was ‘Perumpadappu Swaroopam’ under Kochi Kingdom was holding the ownership of the region .In the 14th and 15th centuries there was aggressive attacks to this region by Samoodiri( Zamorins) of Kozhikode. Finally the Kochin was  seized in 933 –Malayalam era.(1758 AD) by Samoodiri .
