As the conventional formal education has become class room teaching alone to make the students to think only about the class promotions and finally entrance tests for few professional courses,it is a felt need to take them out into the society.Social realities should be known to them.On 22-4-2008,Mulankunnathukavu open school has been inaugurated.Prof.Sara Joseph has agreed to supervise the functions as Principal.Mr A.R.Chandran is Secretary.A 3 days students interactive programme was conducted in Poomala high school.

Vaisakan took the session on story writing; Sara joseph on Poems ; Rugmini,the agricultural officer took class on environmental protection ; Anandan conducted health awareness session.; Film director M.G.Sasi trained the students for screen play writing. A permanent building is necessary to coordinate the classes
